7th Symposium in Antimicrobial Resistance in Animals and the Environment
The 7th ARAE – Symposium on Antimicrobial Resistance in Animals and the Environment will take place from 26 to 28 June 2017 in Braunschweig, Germany. This biannual conference is one of the most indicated scientific meetings in research on antimicrobial resistance (AMR). More than 250 international experts from all over the world will discuss recent developments in AMR, one of the most important One Health challenges in the world. WHO, OIE and FAO adopted global action plans to fight AMR, and this conference will address important issues regarding the development of AMR in animals and the environment.

Within this year’s Call the EPA is seeking applications from multidisciplinary teams for a large-scale project (up to €650,000) focused on assessing the contribution of various sectors (healthcare, agriculture, industry, etc.) to the impact and persistence of AMR in the environment and developing sector-specific solutions to halt further spread.
